Q is for..........

Q is for..........Quentin.

Most people know Tarantino's back story. He was toiling away at a video store, compiling an encyclopedic knowledge of film. Then in 1992, Tarantino burst onto the Hollywood scene with Reservoir Dogs.

Two years later Tarantino made cinematic history with Pulp Fiction. Nonlinear story telling had never been done so well, or more importantly, so profitably. Pulp was a game changer for the movie business, and Tarantino has continued to make successful films that defy traditional Hollywood formulas. His combination of violence and dark humor may not be for everyone, but it's hard to deny the guy's talent.

Love him? hate him?
What's your favorite Tarantino movie?

  2. I was very glad that Pulp Fiction jumpstarted John Travolta's career. It will never be my favorite movie. I totally get that was a departure in cinematic storytelling, BUT it just really isn't my cup of tea. And I am not really a fan. However, I get that some people really like his work.

  3. I was wondering what you were going to do for Q, such a hard letter.
I haven't seen most of his movies. I think he's really talented but I'm kind of a wuss about the violence.

  4. I have a love/hate relationship with Tarantino. I think I put Pulp Fiction on my worst movies ever list once. Hated it. But I love Kill Bill and Inglorious Basterds.

  5. Tarantino's work is amazing. I loved Reservoir Dogs, but it's hard for me to watch nowadays. I don't think it's aged well.

However, Pulp Fiction can be watched at anytime, as long as it isn't a censored television version.

But my favorite? It'd be easy to say Pulp Fiction. But I really, really enjoyed Inglorious Basterds. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

But my favorite? That would have to be Jackie Brown. I don't know why. Perhaps it's the chemistry between Pam Grier and Robert Forster. I just love that movie.

  6. I LOVE him. I like his newer stuff just as much as the originals, and that's hard to come by. I'm not sure what I love about him, it's hard to pinpoint. But man, do I love that guy. Yay for Q!!
